HYDER DRIVE CONSTRUCTION

January 22, 2008

Dear Village Resident,

During to the flood of July 2006, damage occurred to the steel culvert pipes that run beneath Hyder Drive. The damaged pipes are located on the northern end of Hyder Drive near the Route 84 intersection.

FEMA has provided Madison Village with nearly $80,000 to not only repair the damage, but improve the waterway with a concrete culvert.

The project is scheduled to begin at the start of February and will take up to four weeks to complete. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience and disruption.

Important items to note:

1)      During this time, traffic will be reduced to one lane. Please allow yourself additional time due to the construction.

2)      The area will also be subject to dirt and mud.

3)      The final paving repairs to the road will not be completed until early spring.

4)      Call Village Hall prior to construction if anyone at your residence has special access or medical needs that may be hindered by this project.

We ask for your understanding during the construction period. If you have any questions, please contact Village Hall weekdays from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM.

Thank you,

Matthew R. Zapp
