SPECIAL MEETING DECEMBER 27, 1999

 

Mayor Reed called the meeting to order at 7:01PM.  Councilmen Mr. Britton, Mr. Burgard,

 Mr. Evangelista, Mr. Kopczak, Mrs. Kopczak, and Mr. Smith were present.  Also in attendance were Solicitor Collins and Police Chief Matty.  Engineer Foley and Administrator Sample were absent.

 

Solicitor Collins read ORDINANCE NO. 57-1999 for the second time.  AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CURRENT EXPENSES AND FOR OTHER EXPENDITURES OF THE VILLAGE OF MADISON, OHIO FOR THE PERIOD BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1999 TO AND INCLUDING DECEMBER 31, 1999.

Mr. Kopczak moved to suspend and the three reading rule and amend Ordinance No. 57-1999 by deleting line items no longer included on the up-dated ordinance; Sewer Operating, Water Operating, and Cemetery Capital Improvement.  Mr. Britton seconded.  All present were in favor.  The deletion of the items from the first version of Ordinance No. 57-1999 were made after Administrator Sample discovered certain funds were appropriated into the Water and Sewer Operating Funds instead of into the Water and Sewer Capitol Funds (since Regular Council meeting December 20, 1999).

 

Solicitor Collins read AMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 57-1999 for the first time. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ADDITTIONAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CURRENT EXPENSES AND FOR OTHER EXPENDITURES OF THE VILLAGE OF MADISON, OHIO FOR THE PERIOD BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1999 TO AND INCLUDING DECEMBER 31, 1999, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, WITH FOUR ITEMS INCLUDING THE GENERAL FUND, STRATTON PLACE FUND, GARBAGE FUND, AND COPS FAST FUND.  Mr. Kopczak motioned to suspend the three reading rule.  Mrs. Kopczak seconded.  All present were in favor. 

Mr. Kopczak moved for passage.  Mr. Burgard seconded.  All present were in favor.

 

Solicitor Collins read ORDINANCE NO. 59-1999 for the second time.  AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES OF BILL HUFGARD FROM DECEMBER 31, 1999 AND ENDING JANUARY 31, 2000.

 

Mr. Kopczak motioned for adjournment.  Mrs. Kopczak seconded.  All present were in favor.
