Record of Proceedings

Mayor Evangelista called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. and invited all in attendance to join in the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag. Council Members Mr. Britton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Loparo, Mr. Toward and Mr. Vest were present. Also in attendance; Mayor Evangelista, Solicitor Murray, and Fiscal Officer Pinkert.

Motion by Mr. Loparo, seconded by Mr. Britton, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on June 6, 2005, as presented. Roll call on the motion, 5 yeas. Motion passed.

Motion by Mr. Loparo, seconded by Mr. Toward, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on June 20, 2005, with a spelling correction. Roll call on the motion, 5 yeas. Motion passed.

Fiscal Officer Pinkert presented Pay Ordinance #2092 totaling $32,950.89 for payroll and $65,232.06 for current and upcoming expenses.

Mr. Buck inquired about the amount of overtime hours for John O’Leary. Solicitor Murray explained that Officer O’ Leary has had a lot of cases that had court hearings that he attended. Motion by Mr. Toward, seconded by Mr. Britton, to approve Pay Ordinance #2092. Roll call on the motion, 3 yeas and 2 abstain (Buck and Loparo). Motion passed.

Mayor Evangelista requested a ten minute recess followed by executive session in order to discuss legal, contractual, budgetary and personnel issues.

Motion at 12:08 pm by Mr. Toward, seconded by Mr. Britton, to adjourn for a ten minute recess followed by executive session to discuss legal, contractual, budgetary and personnel issues.

Roll call on the motion, 4 yeas and 1 nay (Loparo). Motion passed. Mayor Evangelista informed everyone that there wouldn’t be any business after executive session.

Motion by Mr. Britton, seconded by Mr. Vest, to adjourn. Roll call, 5 yeas. Meeting adjourned at 12:57 p.m.
